It is the piece people picture when they think of a birthday photo. A large foil number stands on a stack of balloons, usually in three or four colours chosen to suit the party, with the birthday child's name added across the front in vinyl lettering.
The theme sits on top. That might be a dinosaur, a football, a mermaid tail, a superhero, a palm tree or a favourite cartoon character, made or sourced to match whatever they are mad about this year. It is the part children notice first, and the part I enjoy most.
Stacks are air filled rather than helium, which is good news: they do not float away, they are steady on a table or by a front door, and they last far longer. A week or two is normal, and often longer than that.

Stacks are air filled, so they do not go down the way helium balloons do. A week or two is normal and they often carry on looking lovely for longer. Keep them indoors, out of direct sun, and away from a hot conservatory or car.
Almost always, yes. Tell me what they are into and I will work out how to build it. The more notice you give me, the more likely I can order in exactly the right pieces rather than working with what I have in stock.
The more the better, and a couple of weeks is ideal for a specific theme. I can often help at short notice too, though the colour and theme choices may be more limited.
Not necessarily. I often deliver the evening before so it is ready and waiting for the morning, and we can sort the details between us. You are also very welcome to collect from me in Harpenden.
A stack is taller than most people expect, so if you are collecting, a boot with the seats down is usually best. Just ask me before you set off and I will tell you the height of the one I have made for you.
Yes, and it is included. Names, ages, messages and dates go on in vinyl in a colour that suits the rest of the design. Personalising is the bit people remember, so I would always encourage it.
